Loose Women producers were forced to step in on Thursday as a row over waxing children between Nadia Sawalha and Carol McGiffin got extremely heated.

The duo came to blows after Nadia posted a social media snap over her waxing her 11-year-old daughter Kiki’s top lip, leading Carol to furiously proclaim she was too young.

What ensued was a furious war of words between the two presenters, before Nadia said a producer was cutting off the discussion in her ear.

At odds: Loose Women producers were forced to step in on Thursday as a row over waxing children between Carol McGiffin and Nadia Sawalha got extremely heated

It comes as Nadia defended her decision to wax her 11-year-old daughter’s top lip, after posting a snap of the treatment to Instagram.

The video was humorously captioned: ‘No children were hurt in the making of this MOVEMBER film!!!’

But Carol was less-than impressed, claiming Nadia was helping her daughter to feel insecure about her appearance at such a young age.

Explosive: During the show Carol said she believed that at 11 Kiki was far to young to be having her face waxed

The actress then countered she would rather that than have other children make nasty comments about Kiki’s ‘moustache.’

She ranted: ‘What are we saying no for when somebody’s laughing at your monobrow?’

But Carol furiously quipped: ‘You’re already altering the appearance of an 11-year-old when she should be able to live with how she looks at that age.’

When Nadia asked when would be the right time to start waxing children, Carol could only counter with: ‘When she’s a bit older and starts being interested in boys.’

Not the case: Carol furiously quipped back: ‘You’re already altering the appearance of an 11-year-old when she should be able to live with how she looks at that age’

That statement did not go down well with the rest of the panel – which also consisted of Andrea McLean and Jane Moore – who insisted children should not change their appearance to fit the needs of other people.

While Loose Women has never been stranger to a heated clash or two, this one was cut short by show bosses, as Nadia told viewers: ‘Oops, the producers are in our ear shouting, ‘no more, no more’. I think it’s getting a bit too heated.’

Of course this is not the first time Loose Women fans have seen an explosive clash on the daytime show.

Viewers were recently left outraged after Kim Woodburn launched a furious tirade on Coleen Nolan, eventually walking out of the studio as she screamed at producers.
